Conclusion
Never Alone is beautiful, engaging, touching and absolutely incredible. Stick ‘Amazing’ in an online thesaurus and it’s all those things. My greatest hope is that Never Alone will kick-start the ‘World Game’ genre, because this was one of the most moving and haunting experiences I’ve had on a console. Plus, I learned stuff.

Never Alone is not your typical independent game. Never before has anyone tried to capture the essence of a rare culture in such a way that not only entertains you, but enlightens you and teaches you about that culture as well. The sights and sounds, and entertaining story telling of these indigenous people makes for a very entertaining experience.
With the low price of only $14.99, the game is well worth the price, and the proceeds go to the Cook Inlet Tribal Council’s education mission.

Even with the faults though, Never Alone is a full on delight. It is at times visually immense (only let down by some poorly animated death visuals) and comes with a sound that whisks you away to a world far away from your own. It is something which has obviously had much love thrown into it from all fields and if only a little more time and consideration had gone into the sometimes dodgy basics then Never Alone would quite easily be walking away with top marks.
