PES 2009 Demo Dated!

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced the availability of a playable demo of its forthcoming PES 2009 title for PLAYSTATION®3, Xbox 360 and PC on 2nd October.

Due for release on 17th October, PES 2009 marks the triumphant return of what is regarded as the most realistic football title for any format. Users will be treated to an expansive playable demo of the new title, with the bespoke version offering a full five-minute Exhibition multiplayer match.

Players will be able to select fully licensed Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Barcelona club teams, or the licensed Italian or French national sides. The demo will allow users an early taste of the all-new elements set to further bolster PES 2009’s reputation as the definitive football game. All new visuals with completely remodeled players and animations, and new physics routines to ensure the ball behaves more realistically have been included, while the AI of the CPU sides has been enhanced to provide an ever evolving challenge.

The PES 2009 demo will also include promotional videos detailing the new game’s ‘Become a Legend’ and online ‘Legends’ modes, which see the player controlling just one player within a team and attempting to forge a career in football. Starting as a promising 17-year-old, players must force their way into the first team and produce a series of blistering performances which will ultimately result to a move to one of Europe’s biggest sides. Or, on the flipside, poor performances can see a player struggling in the lower leagues and eventually being released…

Un bundle PS3-PES 2009

Come ogni anno i produttori approfitteranno dell'uscita di PES 2009 per proporre un bundle con le consoles. Oggi, Sony ha annunciato un pack che comprende il gioco su PS3 e la console con HD da 160 Gb accompagnato da un DualShock 3, il tutto per 449 €.
Ricordiamo che l'uscita di PES 2009 è prevista per il 17 Ottobre, ma che quest'offerta sarà distribuita soltanto dal 29 Ottobre.

So… here it is. A comprehensive breakdown of all the editing ins and outs;

- There are a total of 40 slots for club emblems (These are 127×127px and can be imported from HDD and Playstation Eye, or of cause you can use the pixel paint function).

- There are also a lot more slots for kit sponsors, the size of these cover the majority of the front of the shirts and allow for some creative template solutions (These are imported the same way as emblems but save in the same format as last year) I have yet to hit the upper limit of these and I am currently at 10 designs so all is looking good so far.

- All aspects of player creation are the same (i.e no option for untucking shirts, though shirts will untuck throughout the game)

- Templates are greatly improved over last year, with designs for most of last seasons styles, unfortunately this is actually one of the problems as I am struggling to create an Arsenal kit. There just aren’t enough options around the shoulder and sleeve areas. All in all though its still a massive improvement

- Unable to edit boots

- No Shark heads found as of yet.

I have yet to import any chants so I will save feedback on that for another post. Editing music is as simple as creating a playlist on your XMB and then selecting that playlist within the game. You are able to assign certain mp3s to certain menus and modes also!

Pes 09: Il primo aggiornamento avrà inizio a Novembre

La software house Konami ha ufficialmente annunciato il primo update per PES 09 scaricabile gratuitamente intorno ai primi di Novembre con cui verranno implementate nuove licenze, saranno aggiornate le squadre e gli elementi in gioco. Il download sarà disponibile tra circa tre settimane e sarà gratuito per le console di gioco PlayStation3 e Xbox360. Da come afferma la software house Konami, l'aggiornamento implementerà alcune squadre spagnole, che nella versione attuale non sono registrate con licenza come il Siviglia, L'AtleticoMadrid il Santander e il Vallaloid, inoltre saranno aggiornati i ruoli e i trasferimenti dei giocatori, sia nei vari campionati, sia nel torneo europeo Uefa Champion League. Non ci resta che attendere con trepidazione il rilascio di questo primo aggiornamento. Di seguito il comunicato ufficiale:


PES nuove aggiunte sul fronte Licenze

Konami svela il primo aggiornamento dei club di PES 2009, proprio il giorno in cui l’attesissimo simulatore di calcio debutta nei negozi Europei…

PES 2009 esce oggi nei negozi per PLAYSTATION®3, Xbox 360 e PC-DVD e proprio oggi, Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH, è lieta di annunciare che uscirà agli inizi di novembre, un aggiornamento scaricabile gratuito che arricchirà il titolo di nuove squadre ufficiali e nuovi elementi di gioco.

Il pacchetto scaricabile, che sarà disponibile entro circa tre settimane, prevede l’implementazione di quattro squadre di club Spagnole - Athletico Madrid, Sevilla, Racing Santander e Valladolid – tutte complete di licenza ufficiale. Inoltre, verranno aggiornate divise e rose di molte squadre all’interno del gioco. La modalità UEFA Champions League beneficierà inoltre del nuovo aggiornamento , con l’aggiunta di oltre una dozzina di squadre aggiunte ai club partecipanti alla competizione, tutti con le divise ufficiali della UEFA Champions League. Tra i vari team aggiornati, compresi in questa nuova modalità di gioco, saranno disponibili anche Marsiglia, Basel e Juventus.

Questo tipo di approccio dimostra ulteriormente la volontà di Konami di espandere le licenze all’interno della serie PES. Ogni aspetto di PES 2009 è stato pesantemente migliorato, con nuovi modelli dei giocatori, una Intelligenza Artificiale ancora più evoluta, un nuovo motore fisico di gioco, tutto è stato combinato in modo da creare la più avanzata e realistica simulazione calcistica disponibile. Il gioco include, inoltre , nuove modalità come Diventa un Mito e Miti dove l’utente potrà impersonare un unico giocatore all’interno di una squadra, sia in modalità singola che online. Il pacchetto scaricabile aggiungerà inoltre una funzione chiamata Theatre of Legends che permetterà agli utenti di uploadare online i propri replay e vedere quelli degli amici.

La serie PES è sempre stata rinomanata per l’immediatezza e la profondità del suo sistema di controllo, ma il nuovo episodio espande ulteriormente questo aspetto. PES 2009 offre un livello di controllo senza precedenti ridefinendo tutti i calcoli relativi a tocchi di prima, controllo a distanza ravvicinata, passaggi, tiri e comportamento della IA per creare un esperienza calcistica a completa a 360°. La palla è sempre stata trattata come un’entità separata, ma nell’edizione 2009 sono stati introdotti elementi quali il calcolo della resistenza dell’aria e l’attrito con la superficie di gioco per meglio definire la traiettoria della sfera

Konami have released a statement regarding their latest update for PES 2009 due today at 10:00am GMT.

We regret to inform you that owing to technical problems, an incomplete version
of the new update was released accidentally on 30/10/2008 between 00:30-09:30 (GMT).

We have since suspended the patch download, but will be making it available again
on 31/10/2008 at 10:00 (GMT). The new additions include:

1) 2 new features “Replay Upload” and “Theatre of Legends” for Legends Mode.
2) A new Download feature in the System Settings, used for updating various game data.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
* Please note that both “Replay Upload” and “Theatre of Legends” will not be selectable until 5/11/2008.
* Unless you update the game by selecting “Download” from Systems Settings, you won’t be able to
play against customers who have already applied the update.
* Customers who have implemented the wrongly released patch between 00:30-09:30 (GMT) on 30/10/2008,
will need to update their games again.

We would like to apologize for any inconveniences caused and hope that you can make the most of the new features to enjoy PES 2009 even more.
