We wanted to update you on the Red Dead Redemption patch that is supposed to address the invisibility bug and connection issues fans were experiencing with the game’s multiplayer during its launch week. It seems we made a bit of a mistake in our previous story about the patch.
In our original story we stated that the player would be prompted to download a patch when they launched the game. According to Rockstar’s announcement on their Facebook page about the patch, that is not the case. The announcement states that if you are using a valid PSN ID or Xbox LIVE Gamertag and are signed into to the PlayStation Network or Xbox LIVE before launching the game, then the patch will automatically download in the background. You will not be prompted to download anything.
The patch was released on Thursday May 20th, however, as previously stated. So if you have met the above conditions and you are still having issues with the game, Rockstar has asked that you email them about your concerns at RDRsupport@rockstargames.com.
We are very sorry for the error in the original story and we encourage you, should you see us trotting around in Free Roam, to draw down on us to make us pay for our transgression. Just don’t shoot us in the back.
